Joseph David Butler "David", age 71, born May 15th, 1941, died today at Lehigh Regional Medical Center after battling a short illness.David received his Doctorate in Psychology from Oklahoma State University. He retired from Lee County Schools as a clinical psychologist. He was an active bridge player working toward achieving Life Master status. David was also a long time member of the Knights of Columbus. He was predeceased by his second wife, Bonnie Butler, and his parents Joe and Ruby Butler, and his brother Ted Butler.

David, as he was known to family and friends, is survived by three daughters, Deirdre Weiss, Hilary Carr, Maura Shea, and his sisters Kathleen Butler-Lowrie and Marian Butler. He had four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. He is also survived by a step-daughter, Jacquline Bethune, and step-son, Jimmy Hankle.

Viewing will be Wednesday November 28th 6-8pm at Hodges-Farley Funeral Home, Lehigh Acres.

A memorial mass will be Thursday November 29th 2pm at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, Lehigh Acres.
