William R. Sheehan, 88, of Lehigh Acres passed away April 15, 2014. He was born in Biddeford, ME to William F. & Anna Sheehan. He was a graduate of the Maine Maritime Academy. He entered the US Navy serving during the Korean & Vietnam Wars, retiring after 30 years as a Commander. He resided in Lehigh Acres for 40 years. Surviving are: his wife of 60 years Joan; daughter Barbara (Robert) Reckner; son James (Christine); daughter Joan (Timothy) Muth; daughter Rita (Mark) Napierla; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. Visitation will be held on Monday April 21st from 4 to 6 pm at the Hodges-Farley Funeral Home 1100 Lee Blvd. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10am at St. Rapheal RC Church Lee Blvd. Interment will be at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery.
