Gary, Chris, Sandy, Billy & Mat, I just found out about my long time friends passing. There are not words to express the sorrow I am feeling. She was my other half growing up, my Maid of Honor at my wedding. I wish we had been able to spend more time together in the passed years. She will always been in my heart and my memories. So sorry about your mothers passing.  I only found out about your loss a few weeks ago. A whole group of us used to hang out at Golden Bowl and our parents would come and support our teams on Saturday mornings.  It was always lots of fun.  Your mom was always nice.  I never forgot how your mom. your dad and you were so nice to me when my grandpa died.  My sympathy to you and your dad.  John Viessman

We go back to the 1960's.  My those were the days.  Jane was always a stand-out in the crowd.  Not just for her California Girl good looks, beautiful smile and perfect blonde hair. She had a heart of gold and such an ability to make you feel special.  If she knew you...she was your friend.  She was an old soul in a young body and you were drawn to her.  Her passing is shocking.  It leaves us so sad but the memories of her are as bright as day.  We are truly blessed to have had her touch our lives so deeply. It's funny how people come and go in our lives. Some stay longer then others so you just feel that they will always be there. Jane was like that to us. I knew her first when she was in the youth group at the church. I was there at her and Gary's wedding. In the years since we have stayed friends. It was an honor and pleasure to have her in our lives and we will really miss her.

The songs of James Blunt, Halloween and pumpkins, Jane's adoration shined in her care and love of Chris and Gary, watching supper time with the skunks and critters on the deck with the cats, home-cooked meals and generous giving  to those she loved - This is how we will forever remember Mrs. Hagan.   Now Jane is making laughter and her delicious Goulash  and Saltine Cracker Crack for the worthy  who share her cozy home with the magic of angels.

Reading about Jane makes me know that it was my loss I never got to meet her.  She has been in my prayers over the last few months.  I so much appreciate knowing Gary. I continue with prayers for the entire family. Linda Moeini Friends Chapel

I always looked forward to seeing Jane. She was warm, lively and funny. We had great times talking and visiting together. I especially remember one bazaar about 4 years ago when Jane and her mother and sister sat at an outside covered table with my mom and I. We just had a great time chatting away about trips we had taken and other topics of shared interest. I have enjoyed Halloween season my whole life, the cold crisp air and the hint of burning leaves. These memories are not from San Diego. But Jane had a wonderful collection of Halloween memorabilia that took me right back to my happy childhood times. Recently we have been visiting by phone and note cards. I really miss Jane. Augie and I prayed that our Lord Jesus would put His loving arms around Gary, Chris and Jane's entire family during these sad times of separation. It is hard to imagine that Jane won't be showing up at Church functions...working hard in the kitchen and laughing at things that tickled her.  She seemed to be able to find humor in so many situations.  I can remember her giggling so hard while she told a story that she could hardly get through it.  It makes me smile to think of her.  Jane will be missed.  I know there is a big hole in your lives, Gary and Chris.  We are praying for you.

Jane was always giggling about so many things. She loved flowers, animals and tried to be a friend to so many. I can always remember her in the kitchen at SVFC helping out on our special events. And boy could she cook. Gary was always bringing something to potluck that Jane had made. Such a wonderful lady. I miss her.   Cindy Ping (Kannapolis, NC)

Jane and Gary have been part of my life since we were kids at Spring Valley Friend Church, and a great blessing since.  When we were young, Jane and I frequently sat together at church events and sometimes couldn't make eye contact without giggling.  She was so much fun and so funny!  We both loved helping in the kitchen and hanging around the older ladies there.  Later sharing recipes and chatting about life - and cats, always cats.  Or food.  We will all miss her.

Jane was a friend to everyone she met. She often would come to our special events to help out in the kitchen and with serving. Everyone here at Friends Chapel will miss her dearly.

We have been blessed by our friendship with Jane and Gary for more than fifty years.  We will remember Jane for her love of family, friends, her pets and other animals, and her laughter.  About forty years ago, I ran into Jane and Gary in El Cajon.  Jane told me to call Melissa at her granma's house.  I hadn't seen Melissa for about six years, but with Jane's encouragement, I gave Melissa a call and three months later Melissa and I were married.  We will be forever grateful for that chance encounter.  We will also remember all the times we worked together with Jane and Gary in the kitchen at church.  Somehow, work became great fun when Jane was involved.  Knowing Jane has been a treasured blessing to us and we will always be grateful for our friendship.

Jane is the sister of our son-in-law Matt Hull. We will miss her smiling face and wonderful personality at family gatherings; and these memories will always be with us.

A bright light has gone out of our lives.  I miss her, too.

Jane became my sister-in-law in 1968 when she married my brother Gary. She has always held a special place in my heart. I loved her sense of humor and admired her generosity. More than a few times over the years she quietly and generously helped me financially without expecting anything in return. She was extremely comfortable to talk to and be around, and I will miss that very much. I will just simply miss Jane. I love her very much. I plan on making a donation to Friends of Cats in her memory and the memory of her beloved Pie and most recently Salem.

I will always remember how special my Aunt Jane was. I loved her house as a child and thought it was magical!  Aunt Jane was so pretty and "cool" with her Corvette and blonde hair.  I loved her laugh and her humor. I especially loved how much love she gave to my mother, who adored her. Tonight, I pray for my Uncle Gary and Cousin Chris.  I pray for their comfort and for peace.
