Linda graduated from Mt. Miguel High School in 1960. She then attended San Diego State College, until she went to work at San Diego County. She worked as an administrative assistant for many years. Linda then went to work for a private company in the electronics field. She enjoyed working, but was forced to retire due to on-going health problems.
Linda always had a zest for living and an upbeat attitude, in spite of many on-going health problems. She developed nephrosis (Kidney Disease) at the age of 13 and had continuing health problems throughout her life. However, she was blessed to have a wonderful childhood friend, Peggy Keep, who donated a Kidney to her in 2009. Linda was so grateful for this gift and all the people who provided support and prayers for her recovery.
Linda was very generous with her time and resources. She donated to many charities and had a special place in her heart for animal causes. She could never say no to a homeless cat and became "mother" to 5 homeless cats.
Linda was an active member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. When health problems prevented her from attending church she set up a phone ministry for shut-ins. She will be remembered for her love of family friends and her faith and devotion to the Lord.
Linda was preceded in death by both her parents and is survived by her sister, Donna Lane of La Mesa, California.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Andrews Episcopal Church (4816 Glen Street La Mesa, CA 91941). In lieu of flowers, Linda would of appreciated donations to her church.
Linda was much loved and will be deeply missed.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
