Patricia was born on November 21, 1956 to Earl and Sally Knouse in Yuba City, CA. After moving to San Diego with her son Kevan, she married the love of her life Henry on November 9, 1991. The family grew larger with the arrival of her son Sergio in 1992 and son Enrique in 1995.
Patty loved the outdoors, especially the mountains. While raising her family, she returned to college and graduated from San Diego State in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Her lifelong dream was to be a music teacher. She taught in various public school districts including El Cajon, Spring Valley and La Mesa. She expanded her teaching to creative writing and directing school plays for different elementary grade levels. Patty had a special gift of connecting with students and really made a positive impact in their lives. She taught recorders, guitar and piano. Patty also was a active member of the Lemon Grove Community Church, teaching music and directing and producing programs that honored God and pointed to the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Being a talented musician herself, Patty had a wonderful voice and loved the music of Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt, and The Eagles. Patty loved to cook Thanksgiving dinner and always put up the Christmas tree for her family. She had a knack to help others in need and took care of her sister Debbie and neighbor Rita when they were very ill. Patty was a giver and will forever be and live in our hearts.
Patty is survived by her husband Henry and her sons Kevan, Sergio, and Enrique; brother Buck and sister Janet. She was preceded in death by her father Earl, mother Sally, and sister Debbie. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
