Mr. Matheson was born November 16, 1968 in Caldwell County to the late Thomas Burl and Margie Gragg Matheson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pam Cline.
Barry was employed in the furniture industry and worked for both Bernhardt and Broyhill Furniture Factories.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Joseph Matheson of Granite Falls, Joshua Matheson of Boone, Jasmine Coffey of Boone, Jonathan Matheson Potter of Boone, two brothers, Jeff Matheson and wife Annie of Lenoir, Dennis Matheson of Blowing Rock, and maternal grandmother, Ruth Gragg of Blowing Rock.
Also left to cherish his memory include numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Faith Baptist Church at 1655 Bradford Mountain Road in Lenoir with Rev. Derick Lingerfelt officiating.
