Betty Presnell Fox Church

Born in Caldwell County, she was the daughter of the late Frank Presnell and Bertha Munday Presnell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Perry T. Fox; and second husband, Charles Church; sisters, Jo Ann Mabb, Linda Reid Wagoner, Barbara Mashburn and Madeline Jones; and brothers, Buster Presnell, Maurice Presnell, and Larry Presnell.

Mrs. Church was a homemaker and some of her favorite things while passing through this life were the young children in the family, canning and flower gardening.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jesse Fox and wife Dottie, Shirley Marsh and husband Roger, Debbie Fox, Donnie Fox and David Fox and wife Sandy, all of Granite Falls. She was blessed with nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her step-children, Jerry Church and wife Marvine, Larry Church and wife Rhonda, Kenny Church and wife Leslie and Danny Church; brothers and sisters, Lois Johnson, Hilda Teague, Jimmy Starnes, and Gary Starnes.

Funeral services honoring Mrs. Church will be held Monday, December 2, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Temple Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Bumgarner and Rev. Don Ingle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will speak to friends and family following the services in the Family Life Center of Temple Hill Baptist Church.

Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons, Chris Fox, 1st LT. Adam Fox, Les Fox, Jeff Fox, Sandy White and Sparky White.
