Bobby Jacob Roberts

Mr. Bobby Jacob Roberts, 80, of Lenoir, entered in to rest with his Lord and Savior on April 2, 2017 at Hickory Falls in Granite Falls, North Carolina. A native of Caldwell County, he was the son of the late Jake and Katherine B. Roberts. He retired from the Fairfield Chair Company after 40 plus years of dedicated service. He was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church. An avid gardner, he was known for having the most beautiful yard in the neighborhood. He was humble, kind and never spoke an ill word to anyone. Above all else, though, he was dedicated to being the best husband and father to his family.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Bessie Chappell Roberts, of the home; by his daughter, Starla Cox, of Lenoir; by sisters-in-law, Virginia Coffey of Granite Falls and Kathy Philyaw of Lenoir; by a brother-in-law, Ray Chappell of Cana, Virginia; and by a special friend and neighbor, Anne Green.

The family will receive friends at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. A service celebrating Mr. Roberts’ life will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Winkler and the Rev. Ronnie Jewel officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Cemetery
