Mrs. Brown was born in Caldwell County to the late Ambrose William Corley and Blonnie Hendrix Corley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Clark. She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of the First Advent Christian Church.
Survivors include her son, Bob Brown and his wife Dot of Greenwood, SC; a sister, Virginia Harris of Sawmills; three grandchildren and two great grandsons.
A funeral service will be held Friday, September 21, 2012 at the First Advent Christian Church, 1102 Old North Road NW, Lenoir at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in the Wildwood Section.
