Carmell Church Robbins, age 99, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at The Shaire Center in Lenoir. Carmell was born in Wilkes County on December 31, 1925 to the late William (Bill) Church and Dacy Watson Church.
In addition to her parents, Carmell was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Clyde Robbins, daughter Linda Robbins Greene, and a son-in-law Bobby Clay Greene. She was also preceded in death by sisters Marie Robbins, Dellie Price, Gladys Lewis and brother, McKinley Miller.
Carmell was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Rockview Baptist Church in Triplett, NC where she served as Secretary/Treasurer for many years.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Paul Robbins (Clarissa), granddaughters Regina Morrow (Travis), Vickie Miller (Gary) and Casandra Reid (Robert) and great-grandchildren, Taylor Byrd (Garrett), Chase Miller, Brooklyn Corpening (Tijuan), Daryan Watson (William), Aaron Reid, Emma Reid, Olivia Reid and sister-in-law, Betty Miller.
A funeral service for Carmell will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. J. R. Robbins officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm.
Carmell will be laid to rest in the Robbins Family Cemetery, Buffalo Cove, NC. Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Morrow, Gary Miller, Chase Miller and Garrett Byrd.
