Christopher Lee Powell

Mr. Powell was born in Caldwell County to Bobby Lee Powell of Hudson and the late Barbara Ann Pritchard Powell. He was of the Baptist faith, had a great personality and loved life. He loved fishing, working on cars, playing piano and was a NASCAR racing fan.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his sisters, Teresa Ann Powell Davis and husband Freddie of Lenoir, and Kimberly Dawn Powell Williams of Lenoir; his nieces, Tiffany Ann Davis, Terra Ashley Davis and Jessica Ann Triplett; his nephews, Joshua Seth Whisnant and Justin Grey Williams; numerous other relatives and his beloved pet “Reggie”.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Hamby officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Seth Whisnant, Justin Williams, Keith Triplett, Randy Bailey, Carson Cordes, and Dillon Keever. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Connell, Garrett Bowman and Jeff Hamby.
