Dakota Marie Andersen

Dakota’s life was marked by challenges, but she was resilient. We are grateful for the ways she continued to move forward in recent years. Those who knew her will remember her independent spirit, strong will, and love for others. We take comfort in believing she is now at peace in the presence of her Heavenly Father.

She is survived by her parents, Magnus and Jeanne Andersen, of Florida; her sister, Montana Andersen, of Wyoming; and her brother, Austin Andersen, of South Dakota. She is also survived by her life partner, Daniel Pack of Lenoir.

Extended family members include birth mother, Rebecca Staten, and her husband, Danny Pack, of Lenoir; birth father, Bobby Helton, and his wife, Carrie Helton, of Lenoir; brother, Austin Forstner, and his wife, Courtney Forstner, of Minnesota; stepsister, Amanda Pack of Lenoir; along with many other relatives and loved ones who shared in different chapters of her life.

A private service will be held at a future date and location.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials be made in Dakota's name to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741
