Born February 2, 1914 in Caldwell County, she was the daughter of John and Edither Estes Chester and worked as a nanny.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Earl Whittington Sr., and her son; Earl Whittington Jr. (Coot.)
Those left to cherish her memory are her son John Allen Whittington, her daughter Pauline Vivian Saunders, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
A graveside service celebrating Mrs. Whittington’s life will be held Friday, August 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Chester Estes Moore Family Cemetery in Collettsville with the Reverend Clyde Whittington officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the Collettsville Ruritan Club from 12:00 PM until 2:00PM.
