Diana Joyce Wood

Ms. Diana Joyce Wood, age 77 of Granite Falls went to be with the Lord on Tuesday May 3, 2022 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Diana was born March 15, 1945 in Elkin, NC to the late Alvin C. Wood and Donna Martin Wood.

Diana was a very outgoing and lovable person with many friends and family whom love her dearly. She retired form Sprint Phone Company and also from Catawba Hospital. She enjoyed listening to music from the 50’s and 60’s and loved sports. She was also an avid Carolina Panthers and UNC Tarheels fan.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brothers, Tony C. Wood of Hudson, Steve Wood and wife Kathy of Granite Falls, Marty Wood and wife Karen of Morganton, her grandson, Steven Wallace and wife Amber, great granddaughter, Nicole Wallace.

Also let to cherish her memory are her special friends, Joan Wallace, Kathy Huffman and Tommy Price.

A funeral service to honor Diana will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm.
