Mrs. Spears was born in Ashe County to the late Jessie Don Lewis and Ella Mae Eastridge Lewis of Lenoir. She was a homemaker, and a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Alan Eugene Spears of the home; a daughter, Melissa Lewis of Lenoir; a sister, Kathy Ashley of Lenoir; a granddaughter, Brittany Lewis, two nieces and one nephew.
A memorial service will be held Monday, January 31, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the Pendry's Chapel with Reverend Tony Harris officiating.
