Dorothy "Dot" Louise McLean Reid

Dorothy “Dot” Reid age 88 of Connelly Springs, NC formerly of Lenoir passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care in Hudson. Dot was born in Caldwell County to the late Robert Alexander McLean and Edna Bumgarner McLean. She is also preceded in death by her husband Robert Junior Reid, five brothers; Jack, Ray, Fred, Wilson and Howard McLean, three sisters; Lois, Betty and Helen McLean.

Dot was retired from The Blue Bell and Green Valley Farm Supply both of Lenoir. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Dot is survived by two sons; Dean Reid and wife Diane of Lenoir, Danny Reid and wife Karen of Granite Falls, one daughter; Debbie Hildebran and husband Rick of Connelly Springs, six grandchildren Chris Estes and wife Wendy, Dawn Christian and husband Josh, David Hildebran and wife Heather, Jennifer Baker and husband Eric, Jennifer and Jessica Reid. Five great grandchildren; Abby, Kaden and Jase Christian, Kinley and Chance Baker.

The family will receive friends at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home on Friday October 6, 2017 from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Pendry’s Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am with the Reverend Jeff Brown, Rick and David Hildebran officiating the services.

Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
