Doyle Dover Parsons

Doyle Dover Parsons, 79, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Gateway Nursing Home in Lenoir, NC.

Mr. Parsons was born August 14, 1931 in Wilkes County to the late Rudy B. and Martha Griffin Parsons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by ten brothers and three sisters.

He was a member of Cajah’s Mountain Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Jones Hash of the home; stepson David Hash of Taylorsville, NC; two stepdaughters, Nancy Absher of Hudson, NC and Janice Duncan of Lenoir, NC; one brother, Burl Parsons of Lenoir, NC; four step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Parsons will be held Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Pendry’s Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steve Butler officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service at Pendry’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir, NC.
