Elaine Rich Parsons

Mrs. Parsons was born in Bladen County, NC to the late Floyd Rich and Bessie McLean Rich. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Parsons; two sisters, Eloise Babson and Judy Wright Tatum; a grandson, Daniel Joseph Bruce Jr. She was a Dietary Manager and a member of Nazareth Advent Christian Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Allen Bruce of Iowa, Raymond Bruce and wife Kim of Iowa, Daniel Bruce and wife Rita of Albemarle and Reece Parsons of Hildebrand; her daughters, Denise Bentley and husband Doug of Lenoir, and Tammy Clark and husband Chris of Hudson; a brother, Dennis Rich of Bladenboro; sisters, Betty Hewitt, Lucille Thompson, Marjorie Armstrong, JoAnn Kinlaw and Carolyn Gause; twenty-four grandchildren and four great grandchildren and one special niece, Joan Williams of Lenoir.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Nazareth Advent Christian Church with Reverend Scott Philyaw and Reverend Ronnie Pritchard officiating. Burial will follow the service at Blue Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

The grandsons of Mrs. Parsons will serve as pallbearers.
