Mr. Wallace was born in Huntington, W.V. to the late Shelton Wallace and Lona Wallace. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Alma Adkins Wallace. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his sons, Glenn David Wallace of Lenoir and Robert Michael Wallace of Springhill, FL; a brother, James Wallace of Alexandria, VA; a sister, Edna Davis of Logan, WV; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Services for Mr. Wallace will be held Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Pendry’s Chapel with Mr. James Wallace speaking. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Pendry’s Funeral Home. Burial will be at Naples Memorial Gardens in Naples, Florida.
The Wallace family respectfully requests that memorials be made to the Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
