Janet Ann Benfield

Mrs. Janey Ann Spangler Benfield. 60, of Lenoir passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 At Caldwell UNC Healthcare in Lenoir. Mrs. Benfield was born June 28, 1961 in Avery County to the late James Clarence Spangler and Beatrice Elizabeth Smith.

Janet attended Setzers Gap Church, she was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, Jeffrey Benfield of the home, son Mario Silvas of Lenoir, daughter Rebecca Ridenhour and husband Geoffrey or Lenoir, step-daughter, Crystal Douglas of Watauga, three sisters, Gail Stevens of Roan Mountain, TN, Kathy Hughes of Cranberry, and Shirley Whitehead of Roan Mountain, TN.

Also surviving are her four beloved grandchildren.; Melody, Ivy, Alyce and Gabriel.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 19 2022 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pendry's Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Byerly officiating.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Pendry's Funeral Home.
