Kathleen Dula Hendrix

Mrs. Hendrix was born on January 22, 1928 in Caldwell County to the late Alexander Dula Sr. and Vergie Roland Dula.

Mrs. Hendrix was a member of Laytown Mennonite Church. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Gaither G. Hendrix Sr., a granddaughter, Jasmine Corpening, three brothers and four sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Gaither G. Hendrix Jr. and wife Stephanie of Lenoir, Benjamin Hendrix and wife Irene of The Netherlands, daughters, Jacquelyn Harris of Lenoir, Yvonne Hendrix of Durham, Vanessa Corpening of Burlington, Mavis Thorpe and husband Juan of Burlington, brother, Arnold Dula and wife Willette of Lenoir, sisters, Mavis Wilson of Lenoir and Geraldine Nicholas of Philadelphia, PA. Also left to cherish her memory are eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm Dula Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Dyke officiating. Burial will follow the service in Dulatown Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at Dula Chapel Baptist Church.

Serving as pallbearers will be the grandsons of Mrs. Hendrix and her granddaughters and great granddaughters will serve as flower girls.
