

She was born on November 22, 1955 in Caldwell County to the late Hal Jerome and Lucille Faries Bush.
Kathy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitnel. She was a long-time supporter of animal rights and generously donated time and efforts to support humane treatment of animals.
She was a graduate of Caldwell Community College and the Carolina School of Broadcasting in Charlotte. She worked as a radio dispatcher for the City of Lenoir Police Department, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department and in the local radio community.
Survivors include her husband, James Thomas Walton of the home; one sister, Sherry Willard and husband, Eugene of Morganton, NC; two nephews, Jonathan Willard of Los Angeles, Ca., and Timothy Willard and wife Jennifer of Holly Springs, NC; two great- nephews, Chase Willard of Holly Springs, NC, and Brayden Titus of Los Angeles, Ca.; a great niece, Caroline Willard of Holly Springs, NC; an aunt, Helen Johnson of Lenoir, NC; one stepson, Josh Walton and wife Nikki of Newton, NC; a number of cousins; and her four, much loved dogs, Blue, Moon, Jack and Bela.
A graveside service for Kathy will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Whitnel with the Reverend Bruce Walker officiating.
