Leslie Walker

Mr. Walker was born in Caldwell County, October 30, 1934, to the late Albert B. and Beulah Rose Marley Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Day Walker; and two brothers, Albert Buford and Verlon Walker.

While in high school, Mr. Walker played high school and Legion baseball. Later on he umpired games and was a little league coach. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Also, he was a member of the Woodsman Organization.

Survivors include three nephews, Jack, Charlie and Andrew Day; four nieces, Debbie Cogliano, Barbara Belas, Janet Dziesinski, and Leigh Ann Young.

A funeral service for Mr. Walker will be held, Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at 11:00am at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lenoir, NC with Pastor Jacquelyn Taylor, Reverend Lynn Hawkins, and Reverend Joe Parker officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am prior to the service at Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will follow the service at the Moore Family Cemetery in Boone, NC.

Pallbearers will be Charlie, Jack, and Andrew Day, Bobby LaCombe, Billy and Bill Dziesinski.
