

Mrs. Laxton was born in Caldwell County to the late George Dewey Lamberth and Beulah Pansy Greene Lamberth. She was retired from Thomasville Furniture after 28 years of service and was an active member of Temple Baptist Church where she did John and Romans Missionary work.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Elizabeth Christina Runion; a step-son, Robert Dennis Laxton; a brother, Ray Lamberth; sisters, Lillian Marie Lamberth and Maggie Jo Burnette, and a special nephew, Dennis Ray Lamberth.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Dennis Welder Laxton of the home; her son, Michael Anthony Runion and Janice Duncan of Lenoir, and step-son, Jeffrey Beach Laxton and wife Kathy of Waynesville; her daughters, Sharon Sherrill and husband Raymond of Lenoir, Deborah Clark and husband Gene of Lenoir, and Sandra “Sam” Minton and husband Preacher Mike of Lenoir, Pamela Holsclaw and husband Mike of Lenoir, and Lisa Huffman and husband Paul of Hampstead, NC; her sister, Lois Pickelseimer and husband Ronnie of Bessemer City. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 10 great, great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Pendry’s Chapel with Reverend Joel Bixler and Reverend Mike Minton officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Cole Minton, Jonathan Minton, Daniel Minton, Johnny Runion, Tony Causby and Dylan Ingram.
The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to the Temple Baptist Church, Missionary Work, 1306 Old North Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.
