Maurice Paul Walker

Mr. Walker was born in Caldwell County to the late Paul Morrison Walker and Mary Faye Pendergrast Walker. He was a truck driver for 40 years and of the Christian faith. He was a hardworking and diligent man.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 23 years, Barbara Perry Walker of the home; his sons, Paul Dolan Walker and wife Pamela of Rhodhiss, Todd Wayne Walker of Granite Falls, Mark Lee Walker of Shaolotte, Kevin Ray Nicholson of Granite Falls, and James Christopher Nicholson of Hickory; his sister, Paula West of Burlington; special friends, Patricia and A V Soots; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; his Yorkshire Terrier and companion, Sir Bentley Walker.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 2, 2015 in Pendry’s Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jim Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Cody Walker, Phillip Walker, Gary Powers, Terry Annas, Russell Dunn, Tom Hughes and A V Soots.

The family would like to thank all of their friends and other family members for the love and prayers that have been showered upon them during this difficult time.
