

Mr. Michael Joseph O'Keefe, age 68, of Marion, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 after an extended illness. Michael was born November 29, 1953 in Cook County, Illinois to Lorraine Maciejewski O'Keefe of Lenoir and the late John Dennis O'Keefe.
Michael graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering. He was a dedicated employee of Ethan Allen Furniture in Old Fort for over 38 years where he was still employed at the time of his passing. He was a loving and dedicated husband to Meleissa and he loved his family and friends with all his heart. Michael was an avid Harley Davidson rider and enjoyed a drink of good whisky. He loved riding his motorcycle, playing the guitar and singing. He was loved beyond measure and will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Meleissa Pridmore O'Keefe of the home, a daughter, Beth Cunningham of Lenoir, grandchildren, Crimson Christenbury of Denver, Colorado, Vincent Coleman Robinson of Hickory, brothers, Robert William O'Keefe of Lenoir and Brian John O'Keefe of Florida. He also leaves behind a Neice Jennifer O'Keefe and Nephew Damian, (2) Neices Cheyenne Leigh Varner and Haleigh Jade Pridmore on wifes side that he adored and loved very much and watched them both grow and had a hand in showing them how to love and live, they were his Goob's.
"A CELEBRATION OF LIFE " will be held on August 27, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at "JOHNS TAVERN, 1555 OLD LENOIR RD HICKORY NC ('HOME OF THE LONE EAGLE'). He loved his wife Lisa, Family, Friends, Harleys, John's Tavern, Music,( Merle Haggard was his all time Favorite singer) Whiskey, Cigars & A good Party, he always loved people laughing, singing, telling stories: it made his life complete.
Ride those' Motorcycles' if you can, but come in what ever gets you there. It’s a celebration of a life for a Man who Loved life to the fullest.
