

Mr. Triplette was born in Caldwell County to the late Lester Wilson Triplette and Louise Sherrill Triplette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Laura McKenzie Triplette. He was the owner of Caldwell Ready Mix. He was a graduate of Lenoir Rhyne College with a degree in Economics. A lifelong member of Grace Chapel United Methodist Church, he served on the Board of Trustees, the Administrative Council and several other committees and was a member of the choir. He served as assistant Fire Chief at Grace Chapel Fire Department for several years.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 50 years, Loretta Phillips Triplette of the home; his sons, Weston Triplette and wife Shannon of Granite Falls, and Shannan Triplette of Oakland Heights Township, Michigan; his daughter, Lauren Triplette Hutto and her husband Jimmy of Granite falls; former daughter-in-law, Susan Triplette; his brother, Jeff Triplette of Oxford, Mississippi; his sisters, Andrea Benfield of Newton and Dianne Poovey of Vale; ten grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend David Nolan and Reverend Eric Lane officiating. Burial will be in the Grace Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church following the committal service
