He was born on October 22, 1928 to the late Art William Hice and Sally Ann Hice.
Ray Hice was such a loving husband and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Ray was a proud veteran of the Navy and the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Clinard Hice.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Hilda Brookshire Hice of Lenoir; sons, Cody Hice and Donnie McGee of Lenoir; daughters, Sheila Auton of Lenoir and Deanna Smith of Hickory.
A funeral service honoring the life of Mr. Hice will be held on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Pastor Jordan Hice officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood St. Lenoir, NC 28645.
