Rita Ann Spears Gragg

Rita Ann Spears Gragg, 63, of Lenoir passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Gragg was born in Caldwell County to R.J and Ina Mae Phillips Spears.

She was very close to family and friends. She loved to work outdoors, going to the beach and word search puzzles. She was a very loyal and a dependable friend.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Robert Gragg.

She leaves behind brothers Garry Spears and wife Carol, of Morganton. Roger Spears and wife Mackie, of Lenoir, David Spears and wife Teresa, of Lenoir. Keith Spears and wife Debra, of Lenoir. Edward Spears and wife Leisa, of Lenoir and a sister Cathy Parlier and husband Harold of Lenoir. Also left to cherish her memory are 5 Nephews, 5 nieces, 7 great nephews and 4 great nieces.

A funeral service will be held in Pendry’s Chapel on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. with Reverend Scott Philyaw and Reverend Billy Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Kincaid Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Spears, Scott Herman, Len Beane, Brent Dula, Todd Robbins, Gary Spears, Coty Robbins and Josh Robbins.

The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
