Mr. Pitts was born March 16, 1953 in Caldwell County to the late Obie Pitts and Ruth Taylor Ellison. In7 addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Frances Pitts, Louise Woodruff, Martha Abare and Beatrice Hinson.
Mr. Pitts works as a security guard for Broyhill Furniture for almost 30 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed watching college basketball and working in the outdoors.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 47 years, Katrina Soots Pitts, of the home, a son, Scott Pitts (Jennifer Smith) of Bethlehem, and a grandson, Jarrett Pitts.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. David Crisp and Pastor Danny Loudermilk officiating.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.
