Tommy “Allen” Pritchard, 71, of Lenoir passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Pritchard was born April 18, 1950 in Caldwell County to the late William Elbert and Vertie Wilburn Pritchard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jody Allen Pritchard, three brothers, Henry, Willie and David Pritchard, five sisters, Thelma Garland, Helen Pritchard, Nellie Phillips, Doris Clontz and Linda Miller.
Allen was a loving and dedicated husband father and grandfather. He enjoyed collecting and working on antique cars, hunting and going on cruises. Allen worked as a supervisor for Broyhill Furniture for 42 years and was a member of Berea Advent Christian Church.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Gail Braswell Pritchard of the home, daughter, Misty Gragg and husband Johnny of Lenoir, a granddaughter, Valerie Gragg of Lenoir, a great grandson, Memphis Gragg, of Lenoir, brothers, Eddie Pritchard of Kingsport, TN, Howard Pritchard and wife Barbara of Lenoir and a sister, Diane Bristol of Lenoir.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March11, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Berea Advent Christian Church with Rev. Robert Earp officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Braswell Family Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Pritchard, Ronnie Pritchard, Randy Pritchard, Terry Pritchard, Michael Phillips, Doug Pritchard and Mark Pritchard. Richard Andrews will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the church.
