Velma Eugina Kirk

Mrs. Kirk was born in Moncolm, West Virginia the late Elizabeth Cecil Overton. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Mr. William Russell Kirk. She was retired from the furniture industry and was a member of Ambassador Baptist Church where she was involved in all church activities.

Survivors include her sons, Eddie Lee Kirk of Lenoir, Russell and wife Diana of Lenoir, Terry and wife Sharon of Lenoir, and Mark and wife Angie of Granite Falls; her daughters, Connie Huskey and husband Bob of TN, Vickie Hall of Granite Falls and Melissa Kirk of Lenoir. She is also survived by several brothers and sisters; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Ambassador Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert Setzer officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, November 14th at Pendry’s Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be friends of the family.
