

She was born in Caldwell County to the late Lawrence Curtis and Allie Winkler Curtis. She was retired from Hayes Cotton Mill and Jackson Buff. After her retirement, she worked as a caregiver for many families.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Loye Leonard Alspaugh; sons, Gwyn Suddreth and David Sentelle Sr., brothers, Lowell, J.C., and Lawrence “Buddy” Curtis; and grandson, Jeffrey Miller.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Julia “Judy” Miller and husband, Allen, of Boone, Sherry Brookshire and husband, Danny, of Gamewell, and Barbara “Bobbie” Alspaugh of Statesville; brothers, Charles Curtis of Lenoir and Bob Curtis of Hudson; grandchildren, David Sentelle Jr., Tony Miller, Michael Brookshire, Chris Miller, Rebecca Brookshire, and Elizabeth Jones; and great-grandchildren, Greg Miller, Mackenzie Brookshire, Adrieanna Miller, Bryce Miller, and Justin Sentelle.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Pendry’s Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Doug Price officiating. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Miller, Chris Miller, Greg Miller, Michael Brookshire Daniel Curtis and Bryan Curtis,
