Willa Earline Walsh

Willa Earline Walsh, 89, of Granite Falls, went to be with her heavenly father on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. She was born the daughter of the late Treeley Roark and Myrtle Roark in Ashe County, NC on October 31, 1926. Willa enjoyed spending time with her family and loved the time she spent with her grandchildren tremendously. She loved serving her Lord and always had a smile on her face. Willa was a loving woman to her husband, children, family and friends and she will be dearly missed.

Along with her parents Willa is preceded in death by her first husband Ralph Edward St. Clair, son; Larry Wayne St. Clair, brothers; Fred, Kenneth, and Bruce Roark,sisters; Emmajean Roark and Eva Sue Osborne, and one great grandchild.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 53 years, Ned L. Walsh of the Home, son; Joey Walsh of Connelly Springs, daughters; Shari Hallyburton of Lenoir, Karen Hayes (Doug) of Granite Falls, Diane Walsh of Lenoir, sisters; Vergie Osborne of Zionville, NC and Carrie Lea Clevinger of Crew, VA, grandchildren; Lisa Patton, Leslie Sheehan, C.J. Hallyburton, Nick Hayes, Annette Taylor, Landreah Ward, Meah Walsh, Slate Walsh, Autumn Walsh, and Abby Walsh, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services for Willa will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Pendry’s Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m.. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Western Carolina Chapter, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.
