

Carl Freeman, 92, of Levelland, Texas, formally of Spade, Texas, passed away Tuesday, April ,22 2014. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2014 in the George Price Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at the Littlefield Memorial Park Cemetery, at 11:00 a.m. under the direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland, Texas.
Carl was born August 10, 1921 in Winters, Texas to John and Ethel Freeman. After high school, he married Stella Mae Rosson on July 6, 1940 in Ballinger, Texas. Carl served in the Air Force from 1943 to 1946. After a honorable discharge he moved to Lawn, Texas in 1951 to open Freeman’s Garage. In 1961 he moved to Levelland, Texas to open Freeman Motor Exchange. Hobbies included piloting his own airplanes, restoring antique cars and after retiring in 1985, he and Stella enjoyed RV’ing every state in the U.S. but North Dakota.
Carl was preceded in death by his loving wife, Stella, November 21, 2012, his parents and two brothers Buster and Herman.
Survivors include daughters Brenda Diersing, Gayla Dembkowski, Melissa Hall, and Carol Freeman; son, Norm Freeman, son-in-law Luger Dembkowski, daughter-in-law Betty Freeman; Grandchildren Stephanie Brock, Erika Wild, Veronica Dembkowski, great-grandchildren, Courtney Nolte, Clay Brock and great-grandchildren, Devon Wild, Aydenn Nolte and nephews Layton and Ken Freeman. Special thank you to the staff at Levelland Nursing Home, and to Interim Hospice for their compassionate care during Dad’s final days.
