Clyde Glanville Grappe

Clyde Grappe, 81, of Levelland passed away, June 23, 2014. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. June 25, 2014 at George Price Funeral Home. Funeral service to celebrate Clyde’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 in George Price Funeral Home Chapel, Levelland, Texas. Burial will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery, under the direction of George Price Funeral Home.

Clyde was born November 27, 1932 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to John Pierre and Elizabeth Ellen (Glanville) Grappe. Clyde graduated from Levelland High School in 1951. He then attended Texas Tech University and served in the Army. He was a long time member of the Levelland Country Club.

He is survived by his wife, Maurine Thomas Grappe ; daughter, Ann Capps and husband Bobby, Ray Grappe and wife Mary Lu, Dan Grappe and son-in-law Dave Graf; grandchildren, James Capps and wife Sarah, Whitney Lamonte and husband Tim, Mark Grappe and wife Michal, Michael Grappe and wife Christian, Aaron Grappe and wife Tori, and Patrick Graf; great grandchildren, Stella, Hattie and Hollis Capps, Camden Lamonte, Wyatt Grappe and Everett Grappe. He is also survived by step-children, Martie Viaille and husband Robert, Terry Thomas and wife Vicki, Joey Steffens and wife Traci and Ricky Steffens.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, sister, Clotile Grappe, second wife, Nell Steffens Grappe and daughter, Helen June Grappe Graf. The family would like to suggest memorials be made to the South Plains College Foundation, Levelland, Texas.
