Esteban Bazan

Funeral Services for Esteban Bazan, Sr., 80, of Levelland will be 9:30 am , Saturday, February 4, 2012 in George Price Funeral Chapel, Levelland with Reverend Nahum Lopez officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery, Levelland, Texas under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. He died, Wednesday, February 1, 2012 in Levelland, Texas.

Esteban was born on August 3, 1931 in LaCasita, Starr County, Texas. He married Martina Montalvo on April 13, 1952. They lived in Levelland for 40 years and then moved to the valley in 1996. They returned to Levelland in January of this year. He worked as a farm laborer, but then went to work for Jack Spikes and then Massengill Construction. He retired from Santa Fe Energy.

Survivors include his wife: Martina Bazan of Levelland, Texas; three sons: Esteban Bazan, Jr and his wife, Linda of San Marcos, Texas; Elijio Bazan and his wife, Indelisa of Levelland, Texas; and Elliott Bazan and his wife, Veronica of San Marcos, Texas; three daughters; Elizabeth Bazan Mercado and Elida Bazan Graf and her husband, Kurt, all of Austin, Texas.and Evelyn Alcazar and her husband, Antonio of Levelland, Texas; two brothers: Baldemar Bazan, Sr. and Cruz Bazan, both of LaCasita, Texas; four sisters: Adela Vela and Azusena Vela, Ramon Lopez, and Florinda Lopez, all of LaCasita, Texas. Eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
