Funeral services for J. B. McLean, 83, of Levelland will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at George Price Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rusty Dickerson, pastor, First United Methodist Church, Levelland, Texas. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home. He died February 14, 2010 in Lubbock, Texas. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 5 PM until 7 PM, Tuesday, February 16, 2010.

He was born on May 25, 1926 in Hockley County to Joseph Payton and Ella Susan McBee McLean. He was a lifetime resident of Hockley County and had farmed on the family farm southwest of Levelland until his death. J. B. served in the US Marine Corps on Okinawa and then the Japanese Occupation for 6 months.

Survivors include his wife; Jo McLean of Levelland, Texas; a son: Joe McLean and his wife, Sheila of Granbury, Texas; six daughters: Margie Seagler and her husband Gaylan of Tyler, Texas; Kathy Hardy and her husband, Kenneth of Center, Texas; Gayleen McLean of Lubbock, Joella Robertson and her husband, Larry of Dallas, Texas and Donna Schwiesow and her husband, Wayne of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and Elaine Felder and her husband, Brent of Austin, Texas: a sister; Jean McDermett of T or C, NM; sixteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren
