Funeral services for Joyce Davis, 72, of Canyon Lake and formerly of Whitharral, Texas will be 2:00 PM, Friday, December 16, 2011 at Fifth Street Baptist Church, Levelland, Texas with Reverend Roy Prather, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitharral Cemetery, Whitharral, Texas under the direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland, Texas. She died Saturday, December 10, 2011 in Austin, Texas.

She was born on September 1, 1939 in Simms, Texas to Clyde and Beulah Irene (Coleman) Busic. She was a longtime resident of Hockley County. Joyce married George Davis on November 17, 1960 in Juarez, Mexico and he preceded her in death on June 12, 2007. She moved to Canyon Lake, Texas in 2010 from Whitharral, Texas. She was also preceded in death by her parents: Clyde and Irene Busic and a sister: June Hill. She had attended Fifth Street Baptist Church, Levelland, Texas.

Survivors include, two sons: George Davis, Jr. and his wife, Michelle ; and Clifford Davis and his wife, Darlynda; all of Levelland, Texas: three daughters: Carla Buerger of Canyon Lake, Texas; Jackie Lambert and her husband, Gary of Whitharral, Texas and Melody Morris and her husband Bob of Levelland, her brother: Clyde Busic of Lubbock, Texas; her grandchildren: Michael and Sherry Bilbrey; Bobby Kirby and Jennifer Kirby all of Canyon Lake, Texas; Gary and Lori Lambert of Amarillo, Texas; Brandy and Michael Baker, Ashley Lambert, Brooke Lambert, Eddie Davis, Bobby, Jr. and Melanie Morris, Audra and Tanner Osborn, Sarah Morris, Neal Davis, Keaton Davis, Tucker Davis, Dalyce Davis, all of Levelland, Texas and Elizabeth and Jeff Wagner of Post, Texas; twenty four great grandchildren; her nephews and nieces; Bennett and Janet Dunn of Hooks, Texas; Ricky and Gracie Lewis of Levelland, Texas; Charles and Donna Evans of Floydada; her great nieces: Candace Lewis and Stephanie Lewis of Levelland, Texas; and Jennifer Morales of Little Rock, Arkansas.
