LaQuetta Jayne Henderson

Memorial services for LaQuetta Jayne Henderson, 50, of Sundown, Texas will be at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Sundown School Auditorium in Sundown, Texas. She died Sunday, January 5, 2014 in Sundown. Cremation services are under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland.

Born on July 24, 1963 in Plainview, Texas to Harold and Janelle (Batchelor) Harrison, LaQuetta was raised in Whiteface, Texas. She graduated from Whiteface High School as the Salutatorian of her class and then went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech.

She had taught in Smyer, Whiteface and Sundown. She had served as the One Act Play Director and then became the Librarian for the Sundown Schools. She married Carlton Henderson On March 22, 1986 in Wilson, Texas.

Survivors include her husband, her son Creighton Henderson of Friona, Texas; her daughter, Gabrielle Mason of Post, her parents, Harold and Janelle Harrison of Whiteface, Texas; her brother, Shawn Harrison of Turkey, Texas; two sisters: LaNita Avery of Sundown, Texas; and LaTryle Sehon of Levelland, Texas and her pride: a grandson, Keegan Mason. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jay Dustin Harrison in 1971.

The family suggests memorials to the LaQuetta Henderson Memorial Scholarship Fund at Sundown High School in Sundown, Texas. 79372
