Robert Bob Milton Marrow

Funeral services for R.M. (Bob) Marrow, 87, of Levelland will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at George Price Funeral Chapel, Levelland with Elgin Conner, officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home. He died Sunday, August 19, 2012.

Bob was born on April 24, 1925 in Wingate, Texas to James Grady and Bertie Lee (Harris) Marrow. He attended Hodges Community School and Whitharral Schools. Bob entered the Army on August 8, 1944; sailed the Pacific on March 15, 1945 and fought on Okinawa with the 77th Division. He as discharged with the rank of Corporal. Bob married Avis Levida Jackson on May 25, 1944 at Pettit, Texas and she preceded him in death on February 19, 2005. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors are his sons: Ken Marrow and his wife, Jody; Gene Marrow and his wife, Barbie and Jerry Marrow and his wife, Teri; his daughter: Sharon Bales and husband, Steve, of Levelland, Texas; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, five brothers and twin great granddaughters.
