Ruby Gaynell Franklin

Funeral services for Gaynell Franklin, 47, of Levelland will be 3:00 pm, Monday, April 25, 2011 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Levelland with Rev. Jeremy Myers, officiating and Rev. Rudolfo Crasta, pastor, assisting. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home. Rosary will be said 7:00 pm, Sunday, April 24, 2011 at George Price Funeral Chapel. She died Saturday, April 23, 2011 at her home. She was under care of Hospice of Lubbock.

Born on March 1, 1964 in Littlefield, Texas to Henry and Ellen Kuehler Franklin, she resided in Pep, Texas until 1994 when she moved to Levelland. She graduated from Whiteface High School in 1983 and was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Levelland, Texas. She was the caregiver for her parents until her father’s death in 2002 and then cared for her mother until her death in 2007. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary K. Walker in 2003 and a brother, Gery Franklin in February 2011.Survivors include four sisters: Barbara Walker of Levelland, Texas; Betty Geisler, Linda Sehon and Carriebeth Berry , all of Sundown, Texas; her sister in law, Carrie Lee Franklin of Lubbock, Texas; four brothers: Charles Franklin of White Oak, Texas; Dan Franklin of Smyer, Texas; Bill Franklin of Pep, Texas; and Tim Franklin of Waco, Texas; nine nieces and thirteen nephews, and a number of great nieces and great nephews and many cousins.

The family suggests memorials to the Hockley County Relay for Life or the American Cancer Society.
