William "Bill" Edward Baldridge

Funeral services for William E. “Bill” Baldridge, 76, of Levelland will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Second Baptist Church, Levelland with Rev. Mike Holster, Minister of Music, officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland, Texas. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday, December 20, 2010 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. He died Sunday, December 19, 2010 in Levelland.

He was born on January 24, 1934 in Mangum, Oklahoma to Clyde and Emma Oden Baldridge. He married Barbara King on March 1, 1958 in Levelland, Texas. Bill served in the U.S. Navy for two years as an engineer. He was a self-employed truck driver and a member of Second Baptist Church, Levelland. Bill enjoyed drawing, painting and woodworking, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Baldridge of Levelland, Texas; two sons: Rod Baldridge and his wife, Sharla and Wayne Baldridge, all of Levelland, Texas; two daughters: Eddie Burk and her husband, Benny and Brenda Lowe and her husband, Mike, all of Lubbock, Texas; a brother: Bob Baldridge and his wife, Pat of Beaver, Oklahoma; a sister LaDeana Wilhoit and her husband, Larry of Claremore, Oklahoma: a sister-in-law: Carolyn Baldridge, Plainview, Texas; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Carol Gene Baldridge.
