William D. Rodgers

Funeral services for William D. (Bo) Rodgers, 79, of Levelland will be 2:00 pm, Monday, November 29, 2010 at George Price Funeral Chapel with Dr. Ken Horne, pastor, Fellowship Baptist Church, Levelland, Texas. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland. He died Saturday, November 27, 2010.

Born on May 23, 1931 in Lubbock County, Texas to Walter A. and Minnie Bell Rodgers, he resided on the South Plains all of his life. He married Vora Pauline Ford on August 5, 1950 in Lubbock. She died on September 30, 1985. He later married Junell Jeffcoat on October 31, 1986 in Levelland. She died on June 9, 2001. He married Avis Keen on April 29, 2005 in Levelland. Bo moved to Ropesville in 1973 from Levelland. He worked for Verna Drilling Company for over 30 years and then went to work for Homer Johnson and drove a delivery truck for 15 years. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Stevens in 2008.

Survivors include his wife, Avis Rodgers, of Levelland, Texas; two sons: Bradley DeWayne Rodgers and wife, Andrea of Lubbock, Texas and Joey Dean Rodgers and wife Rita of Brownfield, Texas; a daughter: Brenda Janette Wells and husband Terry of Levelland, Texas and a step son: Terry Keen of Levelland, Texas; two step daughters; Margaret Eller and Jeannie Smith, both of Levelland, Texas; and Donna Bass of Amarillo, Texas; eight grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
