Winifred "Dub" Robertson

Funeral Services are under the direction of George Price Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas and will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10:00 am at Resthaven Funeral Home, Abby Chapel in Lubbock, Texas with Reverend Wendell Horn officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Lubbock, Texas. There will be a Family Visitation at George Price Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 6:00 ~ 8:00 pm.

Dub was born on November 16, 1919 in Pottsville, Arkansas, the son of Winfred Gemalla and Ola (Morton) Robertson. Mr. Robertson attended school in Pottsville, Arkansas. He married June Lois Wood in Lubbock, Texas on December 6, 1942 and began his career in farming in the Levelland area that lasted twenty years. Dub married Shirley Fausett in June of 1980 in Woolforth, Texas. He started his retirement career as a fishing tour guide that he loved doing for thirty years. He attended various Methodist Churches in his lifetime. He was also known to be quite the storyteller.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of the home, three sons; Allen Robertson and his wife, Mary of Midland, Texas, Johnny Robertson and his wife, Linda of Princeton, Texas, and Ted Robertson and his wife, Charla of Bertram, Texas, three daughters; Ronda Siler and her husband, JoBuck of Longview, Texas, Terri Collier of Longview, Texas, and Sherri Jones and her husband, Bruse of Alvarado, Texas, two brothers; Paul Robertson and his wife, Naomi of Hale Center, Texas, and Glen Robertson and his wife, Clara of Hale Center, Texas, and one sister, Ena Trauer of Houston, Texas, fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

Winifred was preceded in death by his wife, June Lois in 1970, a son, Donald Lloyd Robertson, a daughter, Robin Robertson, one brother, Wheeler Robertson and one sister, Edna Moore.
