

Agnes Scaramuzzo , loving mother beyond compare and long time resident of Levittown died peacefully at her home on May 21, 2015. Born in 1919 in Cold Spring Harbor, NY, she was the eldest of 7 children of Paul and Agnes Holm. She earned a full scholarship and a degree at Marywood College in Scranton, where a friend set her up on a blind date with her future husband Ralph Scaramuzzo. In her very full life, she taught elementary school, raised five children, was a librarian and volunteer at her children's school, was active in the Regina Guild, was a parishioner of Queen of the Universe Church and doted on her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She had wonderful stories, a loving heart, a penchant for babies, the ability to calm any fussy child, a "make lemonade out of lemons attitude", and a very kind heart. She was famous for her potato salad. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ralph. She is survived by her children and their spouses Joe and Cathy Scaramuzzo, Paul and Chrissy Scaramuzzo, Donna Read, Ralph Scaramuzzo and Mike and Patti Scaramuzzo; her grandchildren Lisa, Matthew, Samantha, Marie, Joseph and Michael; and her great granddaughter, Autumn. She is also survived by her sister Ann Campbell, as well as many neighbors and friends. Her son Ralph took wonderful care of her in her later years. All those around her brought joy to her life. They will miss her very much. Services and interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
