Born in Philadelphia to the late Russell and Veronica Holeton, he was a lifelong Bucks County resident. Alan served his country in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1955. His career in Graphic Arts included working at General Electric and SEPTA.
He enjoyed sailing and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He also enjoyed watching the Phillies in his later years.
Predeceased by his parents and his brother, David R. Holeton, Alan is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Dorothea L. Holeton; his sister, Vivian Ritter; his son, Alan G. Holeton Jr. (Patty); his daughter, Terri Davis; his grandchildren, Alan G. Holeton III (Alexis), Kyle Holeton, Shawn Duncan, Shane Duncan, and Shaylyn Mackey (Brian); and his great grandchildren, Alan G. Holeton IV, Charlotte Holeton, and Silas Mackey.
A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA. Military Honors will be rendered at 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service.
