Albert J. DiGiovanni, Sr.

Albert J. DiGiovanni, Sr. Albert J. DiGiovanni, Sr. died on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at his home in Levittown. He was 94. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. DiGiovanni was an original Levittown homeowner and worked for Levitt building the local homes. Al had a genuine love for Levittown. He was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish. Al was very involved in Levittown. He served as a councilman and was a past chairman for the Tullytown Parks and Recreation Committee. He was also the owner/operator of the former Green Thumb Company as well as Delaware Valley Clean Sweep Company for many years. He served proudly in the Air Force during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Beloved husband of 67 years to Helen E, Mr. DiGiovanni is the loving father of Albert J. Jr. (Deborah) and Barbara A. Popp (Joseph). He is the devoted grandfather of Christopher, Lynda and Donna DiGiovanni and Michael, Brian and Joseph Doto; proud great grandfather of Mia, Gianna, Joseph Jr. Doto and Jase Cooper; and brother of Rocky DiGiovanni and Yolanda Di'Orio. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm. Burial will be held privately. Memorial contributions in his made may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
