

Alfred R. Zwiebel of Port Orange, FL, died on Saturday, September 1, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.Born and raised in Waterbury, CT, he was a graduate of Kaynor Tech where he studied watch making. Alfred was formerly of Plainfield, NJ and Roslyn, PA before moving to Yardley where he resided for 30 years. He and his wife then moved to New Egypt, NJ where he was proud to have built their log home.Alfred was the owner and operator of A.L.E. Hydraulic Machinery Co. in Bristol Township for many years.He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish and the Men of Malvern.In addition to being a skilled wood worker, Alfred was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating and fishing, but most important to him were the times spent with his family.Beloved husband of Barbara for 56 years, he is the loving father of Theresa Evans (Skip), Alfred Zwiebel (Denise) and Bill Zwiebel (Linda).He is the devoted grandfather of Nikki (Matt), Ryan, Zach, Christopher, Ricky, Matthew, Colin, Maggi and Laura and great grandfather of Mia, Evan, Olivia and Lucas.Alfred is the brother of Roland Zwiebel (Jeanne) and the late George Zwiebel (surviving spouse, Claudia) and will be missed by several nieces, nephews and extended family members.Family and friends are invited to call from 6 until 9 p.m. on Friday, September 21 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 22 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Rd., Morrisville. Interment is private.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Men of Malvern, 315 S. Warren Avenue, Malvern, PA 19355 or the Family Service Association of Bucks County, 4 Cornerstone Dr, Langhorne, PA 19047 and indicate the donation is for the Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter.
