

Andrew Sims Andrew Sims died surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 88. Born in New Boston, PA, Mr. Sims was an original Levittown homeowner and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. He was employed as a meat cutter with Acme Markets for over 30 years, retiring just 7 years ago. Mr. Sims served in the US Navy during World War II and was a member of the American Legion in Mahanoy City. Beloved husband to Vilma C. (Souchak), Mr. Sims was the loving father of Susan A. Moran (John), Andrew M. Sims (Paula) and Robert J. Sims. He was the devoted grandfather of Kimberly Guinan, Claire Hosephros, Rhiannon J., Robert A. and Kathleen H. Sims and the proud great grandfather of Lucas and Nathan. He will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, from 8:00 until 9:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Levittown, followed by the Rite of Committal in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
